By purchasing, downloading, or deploying BioScript ("Software", "Product"), you ("Licensee", "Customer", "You") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions established by Jyotirmay Ray ("Licensor", "We", "Us"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.
Definitions
- "Software" refers to the BioScript self-hosted Link-in-Bio SaaS platform, including all source code, assets, database structures, and documentation.
- "License" means the digital right granted to you to install and operate the Software according to these terms.
- "White Label" means the ability to replace our default BioScript branding with your own branding, logos, and domains to operate the SaaS under your own name.
- "End User" refers to the customers, creators, or users who sign up for an account on your installed instance of the Software.
Upon a successful payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BioScript to operate your own SaaS business.
1. License Purchase
Payment is processed securely via Lemon Squeezy or PayPal. A license key is generated specifically for your transaction.
2. Software Delivery
You receive an instant email containing your unique license key, access to the support portal, and a downloadable archive containing the full unencrypted source code.
3. Source Code Access
You are granted access to the source code to modify, extend, and adapt the Software for your specific business needs under the White Label permissions.
We provide tools to help you succeed, but your operational success depends on your execution.
Updates
You are entitled to lifetime free updates for the purchased major version. Updates include bug fixes, security patches, and new template modules. These are distributed dynamically and applied directly to your validated server node.
Support Policy
Your purchase includes 6 months of free technical support and installation assistance. Support covers:
- Guidance on server requirements and initial installation
- Assistance with resolving core bugs present in the unmodified source code
- Clarification on how to use specific built-in features
Support does not cover writing custom code, debugging your third-party server environments, creating custom templates, or managing your end-users.
As the administrator of a self-hosted instance, you bear all responsibilities for the platform's operation and your customers.
- Hosting & Server Costs: You are responsible for securing and paying for your own hosting infrastructure (AWS, DigitalOcean, VPS, etc.).
- Customer Support: You must provide tier-1 support to your own End Users. We do not support your customers.
- Data Protection: You must comply with local data privacy laws (like GDPR/CCPA) for your End Users' data. You are the Data Controller for your instance.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your admin login and your BioScript license key. Do not share your license key publicly.
All copyright, trademarks, design rights, and intellectual property in the BioScript Software remain the sole property of Jyotirmay Ray. You are acquiring a license to use the software, not the ownership of the intellectual property itself.
Any modifications you make to the source code remain your intellectual property, provided that they are derivative works based on the core Software and cannot be distributed independently.
To protect the integrity of the product and our business model, certain activities are strictly prohibited.
Strict Restrictions
- No Reverse Selling: You may NOT resell, redistribute, sub-license, or share the BioScript source code or the script itself. You may only sell subscriptions or access to your hosted instance.
- No Source Code Distribution: You may not upload the unencrypted source code to public GitHub repositories or share it on nulled script forums.
- No Illegal Usage: You may not use the Software to host illegal content, malware, phishing sites, or adult material that violates standard hosting provider terms.
- No Trademark Misuse: You may not use "BioScript" or our logos to represent your own business, misleading customers into thinking we are affiliated with your specific instance.
White Label Permissions
You ARE permitted and encouraged to:
- Completely remove the "BioScript" name and branding from the front-end user interface.
- Replace the logo with your own business logo.
- Host the platform on your own custom domain name.
- Modify the CSS, HTML, and core logic to fit your specific market.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the software will meet your specific requirements, run error-free, or operate securely without proper server administration on your end.
Third Party Integrations
BioScript integrates with third-party APIs (such as payment gateways, or Mailgun for emails). We are not responsible for changes to these third-party APIs that may break functionality, nor for your compliance with their specific terms of service.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the Licensor be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) arising in any way out of the use of this Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. Our maximum liability shall not exceed the price you paid for the license.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Licensor from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Software, your End Users' content, or any breach of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your license key without refund if we detect severe violations of these Terms.
Termination Scenarios
Your license may be terminated immediately if you:
- Resell or distribute the source code (Piracy).
- Initiate a fraudulent chargeback or payment dispute while actively using the software.
- Attempt to hack or bypass the remote license validation server.
Upon termination, your server node will no longer receive updates, and the admin dashboard may be locked until the dispute is resolved. You must delete all copies of the Software in your possession.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, network outages, hosting provider failures, or government actions.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kolkata, India.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify active resellers of significant changes via email or dashboard announcements. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
